Alumni Karrie (Hines) Theoharis gave the 52^nd Sherman Hoslett Lecture at Luther College (Decorah, Iowa). Karrie graduated from Luther in 2000, completed her PhD in the laboratory of Lori Wallrath in 2006, and then obtained a Master's degree in Genetics Counseling in 2008 from the University of Minnesota. Karrie specialized in prenatal care, including the newly possible fetal therapy for cystic fibrosis.
