The purpose of the rotation system is to: (1) provide students with information that will help them in their selection of a PhD mentor, (2) experience new research techniques, and (3) gain knowledge in a new research area. It is also intended to educate students about more than one approach to doing genetics research and provide them with personal contacts with as many of their peers and mentors as possible. Students will complete three rotations each lasting approximately 12 weeks.
