I am working to determine the mechanism of neuronal dysfunction during circuit development caused by Nf1 mutations and test the contributions of downstream regulators, ERK and cAMP. By utilizing Drosophila as a model I am able to generate mutants, include reliable imaging tools, and use a well established olfactory experiment paradigm to ensure experimental accuracy and reproducibility.
