Jacob Schillo and Rebekah Peplinski (Dupuy Lab) are hosting meetings with members of congress to discuss the upcoming funding requests for the National Institute of Health ($46.11 billion) and National Cancer Institute ($7.6 billion). National Hill Day is a joint event hosted by the American Association for Cancer Research and the Association of American Cancer Institutes. Discussions will include the importance of funding during the COVID-19 pandemic and additional funding due to COVID-related research disruptions. Jacob Schillo, Rebekah Peplinski, Erin Talbert (Assistant Professor) and George Weiner (Director, Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center) will be meeting with Senator Charles Grassley IA-S (R) and a representatives from the Office of Senator Joni Ernst IA-S (R) and the Office of Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks IA-02 (R).
