Pre-Doctoral

American Heart Association (AHA), Heartland Affiliate Predoctoral Fellowship 0710043Z. “Investigating the Functional Effects of the Angiotensinogen -20 Polymorphism in the Etiology of Essential Hypertension.” Funded from January 2007-December 2008.  Currently $25,000 per annum with $23,000 of that applied toward student stipend (plus $2,000 from the University of Iowa for receiving outside funding and an opportunity to apply for a Graduate Incentive Fellowship through the University of Iowa Graduate College).

Two deadlines each year: Mid-January and Mid-July.  Two-year fellowship with competitive extension possible for a third year.

University of Iowa Graduate College, Graduate Incentive Fellowship. One-time award received for 2007.  Currently set at 5% of graduate student fellowship.  Funds must be used on "professional advancement" (lab supplies, publication costs, computer hardware/software, professional society membership dues, journal subscriptions, etc.).

Post-Doctoral
